After last week’s depleted round of weekend Premier League fixtures, there’s a full 10-game programme for this round of Planet Sport’s Beat Sav prediction competition, so be sure to be part of the fun and get your entries in before the lunchtime kick-off between West Ham and Liverpool gets under way at 12.30pm on Saturday April 27.

Reduced fixtures or not, three of our entrants still managed to accumulate a double-digit tally, with round winner Andrew Senior managing to call three of the seven scorelines correctly, making up most of his 11-point tally.

Planet Sport's football ambassador Robbie Savage did fairly well this week, plucking out one correct score on his way to a 6-point haul that was beaten by 25% of our weekend entrants.

Week 27 predictions

The predictions of the five teams are listed below, so if you think you can do better, then just visit the competition page to enter your own predictions.

West Ham Utd v Liverpool

  • Tipstrr: 1-3
  • Robbie: 2-1
  • Planet Sport: 1-3
  • TEAMtalk: 1-2
  • Football365:1-2

Last week’s 5-2 hammering at Crystal Palace means just one win in seven league games for West Ham, who are sliding into the midtable pack, and that slope could well get even slippier with the arrival of Liverpool, who will looking to reignite their diminishing title hopes by bouncing back quickly from their disappointing showing in Wednesday night’s Merseyside derby.

Latest Betting:

  • 9/1 Correct Score 1-3
  • 8/15 Liverpool win

Fulham v Crystal Palace

  • Tipstrr: 1-2
  • Robbie: 1-2
  • Planet Sport: 1-2
  • TEAMtalk: 2-2
  • Football365: 2-2

Fulham continue to be an enigma, capable of beating and losing to any team in the Premier League, but have been doing more of the latter recently, picking up just four points from their last five outings. Palace seem to be gelling nicely under the tutelage of Oliver Glasner, backing up their surprise win at Anfield with a 5-2 humbling of West Ham and Wednesday’s equally impressive 2-0 home win against Newcastle.

Latest Betting:

  • 10/1 Correct Score 1-2
  • 12/5 Palace win

Manchester Utd v Burnley

  • Tipstrr: 1-1
  • Robbie: 3-1
  • Planet Sport: 2-2
  • TEAMtalk: 3-1
  • Football365: 2-1

Manchester United’s midweek 4-2 win over Sheffield United had its worrying moments but at least ended a run of six winless games (in 90 minutes, at least). They are likely to find Burnley an even tougher nut to crack, with the brave Clarets having lost just one of their last seven league outings, with last week’s 4-1 win at Sheffield United very much the performance of a team determined to scrap their way out of relegation trouble.

Latest Betting:

  • 9/1 Correct Score 1-1
  • 15/4 Draw

Newcastle Utd v Sheffield Utd

  • Tipstrr: 4-1
  • Robbie: 2-0
  • Planet Sport: 3-0
  • TEAMtalk: 3-0
  • Football365: 3-0

Newcastle were unable to take advantage of their 11-day break, and rather were caught cold by Crystal Palace’s enterprising play in Wednesday’s 2-0 reversal at Selhurst Park. However, the Magpies are a different side at home, where they have scored 18 goals in an unbeaten six-game run, and they should boost that tally against a Sheffield Utd team that looks resigned it its fate after picking up three points out of 30 and conceding four goals in each of their last two games.

Latest Betting:

  • 11/1 Correct Score 4-1
  • 2/9 Newcastle win

Wolves v Luton Town

  • Tipstrr: 2-1
  • Robbie: 2-0
  • Planet Sport: 1-1
  • TEAMtalk: 2-1
  • Football365: 1-2

Just two drawn points from their last six games have left Wolves in the Premier League mid-table doldrums, and if they want to end that sequence they will need to raise their game against a battling Luton side, who unfortunately have won more friends than points recently and will want to erase the memory of losing both of their last two games by the same 5-1 scoreline.

Latest Betting:

  • 7/1 Correct Score 2-1
  • 20/21 Wolves win

Everton v Brentford

  • Tipstrr: 1-0
  • Robbie: 3-2
  • Planet Sport: 2-0
  • TEAMtalk: 2-1
  • Football365: 1-0

Everton have responded well to last week’s 6-0 hammering at Chelsea to chalk up two wins and two clean sheets, not to mention earn their fans long overdue Merseyside bragging rights with Wednesday’s impressive 2-0 win over Liverpool. Another win here would send them above visitors Brentford, who have themselves clawed their way out of relegation trouble with a five-game unbeaten run crowned by last weekend’s 5-1 win at Luton.

Latest Betting:

  • 15/2 Correct Score 1-0
  • 11/8 Everton win

Aston Villa v Chelsea

  • Tipstrr: 3-1
  • Robbie: 3-1
  • Planet Sport: 2-1
  • TEAMtalk: 3-1
  • Football365: 2-0

Since losing four out of five home games earlier this year, Unai Emery’s side have rebuilt their Villa Park fortress, and have now banged in 18 goals in their last 7 competitive home games (W5, D1, L1). They will fancy their chances of extending that sequence against a Chelsea side that is winless in five away games and were possibly actually flattered by the 5-0 scoreline at Arsenal on Tuesday.

Latest Betting:

  • 12/1 Correct Score 3-1
  • 23/20 Villa win

Bournemouth v Brighton

  • Tipstrr: 3-1
  • Robbie: 1-0
  • Planet Sport: 1-1
  • TEAMtalk: 2-2
  • Football365: 0-1

Bournemouth continue to punch well above their weight and will have their eye on a top-half finish after winning five of their last nine games (D2, L2), culminating in Wednesday’s hard-fought 1-0 victory at Wolves. Brighton are still licking their wounds after their Thursday night mauling by Manchester City, and this short trip along the south coast will be no picnic either for the inconsistent Seagulls.

Latest Betting:

  • 12/1 Correct Score 3-1
  • 6/5 Bournemouth win

Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal

  • Tipstrr: 2-4
  • Robbie: 2-2
  • Planet Sport: 2-2
  • TEAMtalk: 1-3
  • Football365: 2-1

Spurs have been blowing hot and cold, but have been impressive at Tottenham Stadium where they have won eight of their last nine home league games, scoring 23 goals in the process. Their home loss to Villa apart, Arsenal have been imperious since the turn of the year, winning 12 of 14 league games, and they arrive fresh from Tuesday’s 5-0 dismantling of Chelsea. We’re hoping for a pulsating London derby, plenty of goals and a Super Sunday thriller just tipping Arsenal’s way.

Latest Betting:

  • 28/1 Correct Score 2-4
  • 4/5 Arsenal win

Nottingham Forest v Manchester City

  • Tipstrr: 1-4
  • Robbie: 0-3
  • Planet Sport: 1-4
  • TEAMtalk: 1-3
  • Football365: 1-3

Just two wins and four draws from the 14 league games since the turn of the year have sent Forest sliding down a slippery slope towards the Premier League trapdoor, so the last thing they probably need is the arrival of free-scoring Manchester City who have scored ?? goals in four straight wins that has put their title defence firmly back in their own hands.

Latest Betting:

  • 16/1 Correct Score 1-4
  • 4/11 Man City win
