Meet 2022's's best football tipsters so far

It's been a busy first half of 2022 for the footballing world, and with a new season soon to be upon us, not to mention a winter World Cup waiting in the wings, the stage is set for even more betting opportunities for our ever-increasing number of football tipsters.

Many of them have maintained an impressive level of consistency over the first six months of the year, and we've put them together for you in our Best Football Tipster rankings, all listed for your convenience to allow you to make an informed decision about which services are more than just a short-term wonder and offer the serious prospect of achievable long-term growth.

Just click on the links for more information about each tipster, and for details of any trial deals that are currently on offer.

Please note: Tipstrr users who have previously enjoyed a trial with a tipster are no longer eligible for any trial period offered by the same service.

10th J Betting - 248 tips, 11.4% ROI

Profit: £563.46 to £20 average stake

In tenth spot J Betting might be bringing up the rear of these rankings, but that belies the fact that this is currently one of the most in-form football services on the site after three straight months of double-digit growth. Covering a variety of football markets at average odds that nudge 2/1, a relatively low tip volume makes for a manageable service that puts quality above quantity, and with most of those tips published days in advance, placing bets can be done at leisure.

9th AEC - 1805 tips, 12.4% ROI

Profit: £4471.60 to £20 average stake

It's six months since AEC first set up shop on the Tipstrr site, and here we are six profitable months later, sitting on an overall 12% yield and anyone following his tips with level £20 stakes would now be well over £4K to the good. Focusing on the increasingly popular Both Teams To Score - No betting market, AEC's 48% win rate at average odds of around 6/4 suggest AEC has a discerning eye for identifying where the prospect of a clean sheet is overpriced.

8th Soccerrafa - 726 tips, 13.5% ROI

Profit: £1959.40 to £20 average stake

Following that same betting strategy, Soccerrafa has enjoyed even more sustained success in the BTTS market from leagues all over the world, with June representing 13 consecutive profitable months since being launched in June 2021. With the new season just a few weeks away, it could be just the right time to join Soccerrafa's lucrative journey that has accrued close to £2K in the first half of 2022 and well over £5K overall.

7th SVB Tips - 845 tips, 13.6% ROI

Profit: £2294.09 to £20 average stake

If you enjoy betting on football as much as on horse racing, then the bilateral service of SVB Tips puts a bold tick in both boxes. His 18% ROI from 350 horse racing tips so far in 2022 might not have been enough to make our top twenty horse racing tipsters, but when combined with a 14% yield from over 400 football tips, it illustrates perfectly the long-term potential of this versatile tipster, who really does offer two services for the price of one.

6th Zenith - 1511 tips, 15.4% ROI

Profit: £4649.70 to £20 average stake

The busy football service of Zenith bounced back from a rare drawdown month in January to enjoy five months of growth that is merely a continuation of the success he has enjoyed since first appearing on Tipster in late 2019. A tendency to exploit market movement requires bets to be placed quickly to match Zenith's results, but double-digit growth in Over/Under, Draw No Bet, Double Chance and 1X2 suggests a tipster who know where to find top value all over the betting market.

5th Drawshunter - 667 tips, 16.1% ROI

Profit: £2144.95 to £20 average stake

By definition, any tipster who focuses on the Draw part of the 1X2 betting market has to walk a fine line between success and failure because every winning bet is open to change right up to the final kick of every game. That volatility is reflected perfectly in the fluctuating fortunes of Drawshunter since he launched such a service in January, but the peaks have outweighed the troughs to provide an upward trending profit line to the tune of a 16% ROI and over £2K in winnings so far this year.

4th Triple Crown - 174 tips, 17.0% ROI

Profit: £593.11 to £20 average stake

For anyone who prefers a more sedate betting routine, then the selective output of Triple Crown should be right down your street. As his name suggests, TripleCrown specialises in combination bets, with his ability to combine low-yielding match-winner singles into high-yielding trixie bets proving lucrative over time, and even a couple of monthly drawdowns have failed to prevent an upward trend that has achieved a 17% ROI since the turn of the year.

3rd Star Tips - 1636 tips, 17.0% ROI

Profit: £5561.84 to £20 average stakes

Anyone with the betting discipline to cope with the prolific tip volume of Star Tips should soon taste the fruits of his continued success. With a prime focus on the Both Team To Score market, that busy output usually appears on the Tipstrr site the night before kickoff, giving his followers ample time to place their bets. With a sustained 45% win rate at odds between 6/4 and 7/4, four straight months of growth have averaged 20+% growth that have earned over £4.5K, suggesting bankroll management should not be an issue.

2nd BillyPicks - 154 tips, 19.5% ROI

Profit: £601.23 to £20 average stake

Another tipster that should suit those with a less voracious betting appetite is Billy Picks, whose low-volume service is aimed solely at the Draw market. His patient research means that he only releases tips as and when the stars align in his betting model to suggest that his chosen games are overpriced to end all square. Such a volatile market is fraught with danger, of course, but the fact that his 154 tips in 2022 have maintained a 42% win rate at odds just shy of 2/1 suggests that he finds such value often enough to make a decent long-term profit.

1st Lulas BTTS - 1804 tips, 20.4% ROI

Profit: £7374.51 to £20 average stake

Top of the pile we're happy to present Lulas BTTS as the best-performing football tipster over the first half of 2022. Another service to aim at the BTTS-No market, Lulas' 46% win rate at average odds of 7/4 should be enough to keep bankroll climbing and offset a tip output that might at first appear too prolific for some betting tastes. But as his profile page explains: "More than a tipping service we propose a betting methodology capable of accomplishing consistent profits over time. The tips are not to be considered individually, but together since the strategy is to play with statistics to identify events where the proposed odds are unadjusted considering the estimated probability for the event to occur." The last four months in particular have seen that strategy operating to full effect, with March (25% ROI), April (25%), May (23%) and June (10%) combining to yield over £7K in profit to level £20 stakes.

It's pretty clear that many of our leading football services are managing to sustain remarkable levels of profitable consistency and offer excellent long-term potential. Well done again to Lulas BTTS for topping such a high-quality roll call, and well done also to the many tipsters who are flying just below the radar of our top ten, but who are showing the kind of consistency that should see them challenging for a top ten finish in our overall 2022 rankings at the end of the year.
