As Flat racing gradually takes the baton from the National Hunt season, we take a look back on a productive month for many of our best tipsters, from whom we have compiled our monthly top ten tipsters for April.

It is certainly no disgrace finishing at the bottom of this high-quality shortlist, with even 10th-placed Blind Guess enjoying a monthly ROI comfortably above the 50% mark. This simple manageable service averaged around one tip per day through April, with a mix of 30 on-the-nose and each-way selections combining to produce four winners and 11 places for an overall 50% strike rate, which means his followers were never more than one losing tip away from their next profitable punt.

Having come runner-up in this list in February (78% ROI) and third in March (106% ROI) HorseForACourse has been at it again in April, with his 59% monthly yield crowning a stellar start to 2023. A 50/50 mix of race-winner and each-way tips were rewarded with five winners priced between 18/1 and 9/2, while a further four each-way places helped keep those profits ticking over to produce yet another lucrative return.

It's been a while since TipsterTaylor2 has made a blip on our monthly radar, but after turning the corner in March, he has confirmed that form with his most productive month in over a year. April's volume of just 22 selections might not satisfy a more voracious betting appetite, but when when just a small output can produce three winners (12/1, 9/1 and 6/1) plus seven each-way places, then that should be enough to leave a sweet taste in the mouth of any bettor.

It was just another month at the office for Underdog Racing Tips who continues to dazzle as one of Tipstrr's most lucrative each-way pundits. Those two highlighted 40/1 winners are mere icing on top of no less than 51 selections that made the frame in April (16 winners and 35 placed) for a 23.5% strike rate that is made all the more remarkable by the fact that none of those 51 tips were advised at odds below 18/1. No wonder Underdog remains one of Tipstrr's most popular services.
100 tips, 60.0% ROI, £1,199 profit
Top winners: Burbank 50/1
Although Kens Jumps was one of several tipsters to pick 50/1 shot Burbank at Perth on April 27, his monthly success was built on much more than landing a one-off outsider. April's 60% ROI came courtesy of an impressive 25% win rate at average advised odds of more than 13/2, not bad considering the majority of his selections recommend a straight win. While the service will inevitable reduce its output through the flat season, it's definitely one to pencil in for the next jumps campaign

In fifth place 365 Tips has just enjoyed a fourth straight month of mouthwatering gains after January (84%), February (55%) and March (31% ) got this year off to a flying start. Selecting race-winner tips at each-way prices is a high-tariff approach fraught with dangers, and yet 365 Tips has managed to fly in the face of those odds to accrue well over £5K in profit to level £20 stakes so far in 2023. News just in, his first 16 tips in May have already landed two 16/1 shots, plus two more at 10/1 and 9/1.

It has not all been smooth sailing for Gazza Tips since first appearing on Tipstrr last September, but he has just bounced back from his first two drawdown months with his most lucrative month to date, easily making up those earlier losses. A relatively low tip volume only goes to emphasise the point that quantity is no match for quality, and his five winners and nine each-way places from just 25 carefully selected tips amounts to an eyecatching 56% hit rate.

Occupying our first podium position Gastonex is no stranger to our monthly rankings, and reappears now after one of his most productive months since first appearing on Tipstrr back in January 2019. Finding overpriced horse tucked away in the middle of the betting market has proved to be fruitful exercise for this proven performer, and that eye for value managed to pick out a dozen winners from just 48 tips in April for a tidy 25% win rate at average advised odds in excess of 10/1

The prolific output of March's runner-up Model Man might not be to every bettors' taste, but if you can manage (or even relish) a dozen selections a day, then Model Man will keep you nice and busy. Of course, a heavy tip volume does not necessarily convert to hefty profits, but Model Man has managed to achieve a double-digit ROI in each of the last three months, culminating in April's best-yet 81%. Angelo Dundee (50/1) and Tellairsue (33/1) were the highlights of a month littered with no less than 50 winners that combined to produce over £6K in profit for anyone with the bankroll to manage £20 stakes across those 369 tips.
27 Tips, 223.2% ROI, £1,205 profit
Top winners: Burbank 50/1, My Rockstar 30/1, Sugarpiehoneybunch 22/1
Not for the first time we make no apology for bracketing April's winner Won Racing Tip together with its two sister services, both of which merited their own place within April's top dozen services. Won Racing Tip offers a stripped-down version of Read Between The Lines (11th in April with 66 tips, 59.2% ROI, £781 profit), selecting just a single daily 'nap' from the more prolific output of its stablemate service. Following an almost parallel selection strategy is Won Two Three Racing Tips (4th in April with 64 tips, 74.2% ROI, £950 profit) who offers similar output to Read Between The Lines, but without some of its additional features such as regular insightful race previews. All three of these services shared those three main showstopper selections of Burbank (50/1), My Rockstar (30/1) and Sugarpiehoneybunch (22/1), which combined to give followers of Won Racing Tip more than double their invested stake for a mammoth 223% yield for the month.
