Free Horse Racing Tips - Ascot Day 5

Published

Winter romped home yesterday but our tipsters are targeting bigger odds this afternoon and we've got the most popular bets for today!

It’s the charge of the favorites today as the platform is awash with tips for the favorites. Clearly out tipsters think the price on many of today’s favorites are justified and for the most part, they put on a good showing yesterday. Winter came home as expected but second favorite Harry Angel was the disappointing one, beaten by a small margin and preventing bigger profits.

Today we go again. Here are the most popular selections on the platform ahead of Day Five at Royal Ascot.

\r\n\r\n

2:30pm - Chesham Stakes

\r\n\r\n

September looked liked being backed into odds-on favorite at one point but the steady flow of support has halted just a little. One such horse taking a large number of bets from punters now is Masr and that is indeed the common choice on the Tipstrr platform today. The 4/1 second favorite offers the closest realistic challenge to the front-runner having won at 1m and 1m 1f so far including a Group 2 race. Masr was also a winner last time out at Goodwood and had no problem living up to the favorites tag in a relatively good field.

Popular Bet: Masr @ 4/1, Bet365

\r\n\r\n

3:05pm - Wolferton Handicap

\r\n\r\n

Khairat is the favorite here and it’s the choice of the people. It’s no surprise given the impressive way he won at Chester and also previous showings considered. It’s been win after win with a few places chucked in for good measure. A 13lb rise in weight is, of course, going to make things a little bit harder for this horse but you have to judge just how much more Khairat has in the locker and given the level of competition in this race, the overriding opinion is that is a challenge but far from a step too far. Kidmenever is slowly shortening and could move to be favorite come race time for Khairat should not be overlooked even with the hike in weight.

\r\n\r\n

3:40pm - Hardwicke Stakes

\r\n\r\n

You guessed it, it's the favorite. Dartmouth is the 2/1 shot here that's being well backed on the platform and that opinion is echoed by many professionals, oddschecker and sportinglife. The form of Dartmouth has been outstanding with a number but places and wins in sight and the favorite tag looks to be justified here. Sir Michael Stoute's record in this race is absolutely exemplary and that's another contributing factor for punters that seem so fond on this selection. Dartmouth was a very comfortable winner last time out at York over 1m 6f and figures to be an obvious choice given form, Stoute's record and of course the small drop down here to 1m 3f.

Popular Bet: Dartmouth @ 2/1, Bet365

\r\n\r\n

4:20pm - Diamond Jubilee Stakes

\r\nLimato is the favorite here and Tin Man has received good backing but many tipsters on the platform are confidently looking beyond that. One thing to consider is the complexity of the draw and of course understanding the nature of the course here, which has been referenced in a few previews. Limato is favorite for very good reasons but his drawing install 15 has been enough to put off many punters. Tasleet has been nicely drawn and after a good showing in the Duke of York Stakes is adjudged to be the type of horse that can take on this race. There are several strong finishers in the pack here, but Tasleet could be one of them.\r\n

Popular Bet: Tasleet @ 7/1, Betfred

\r\n\r\n

5:00pm - Wokingham Stakes

\r\nFinally, we find ourselves backing a selection that doesn't have the favorites price tag. Although it should be said with the first and second priced favorites drifting, Raucous is shortening under good backing. And that might be because the Ryan Moore ridden horse can handle various ground and showed some promise despite several defeats as a three-year-old in the past year. At a glance, this certainly looks like a horse that could outrun its expectations and perhaps even projection who has not been in the best of form.\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Popular Bet: Raucous @ 10/1, William Hill

\r\n\r\n

5:35pm - Queen Alexandra Stakes

\r\nAnd last but not least we come to the Queen Alexandra Stakes where Qewy gets the nod on the platform. Qewy has been a winner on three occasions when running 1m to 1m 4f and all of those have been on the varying ground which is a bit of a comfort considered the course may have just softened up slightly with some overnight rain. US Army Ranger is a third favorite here which is a bit of a surprise given that last years second place Derby runner is stepping up a full mile in trip here which is surely too big an ask for any horse. Thomas Hobsons straight forward Ascot Stakes win on Wednesday was impressive but has been run out very quickly and despite being rated 8lbs higher, Qewy is the selection here.\r\n

Popular Bet: Quewy @ 9/2, Sky Bet
