Manchester City will take on Brighton on Wednesday evening, in game week 18 of the Premier League. Manchester City are on fire, winning all six their last 6 competitive games and look to be at their best right now. On Sunday they managed a dominant 3-0 win in the third round of the FA Cup, at home against Birmingham. That win came only 4 days after their win in the semifinals of the EFL Cup, 2-0 at Old Trafford against their bitter rivals Manchester United. In the Premier League the team led by Pep Guardiola are 5th with 29 points 4 points behind the leaders Liverpool, but with two games in hand. City haven't been the goal scoring machine they used to be in previous years, and a reason for that is probably the long term absence of Sergio Aguero, but they have looked very solid defensively this season. They conceded 13 goals in 15 Premier League games and they conceded only 3 goals in their last 13 official games. Aymeric Laporte and Nathan Ake will be unavailable for this match and Raheem Sterling is uncertain.

Brighton reached the 4th round of the FA Cup as well, but they need penalties against Newport County from League Two. Brighton opened the scoring in the 90th minute of the game but they conceded the equaliser in the 96th minute. After that game Brighton remain with only one win in regular time in their last 17 fixtures. The team led by Graham Potter are 17th in the Premier League with 14 points, 3 points from the first relegation spot. Brighton has a long list of unavailable players, Tariq Lamptey, Florin Andone and Izquierdo are injured and will definitely miss the game, Danny Welbeck, Aaron Connolly , Adam Lallana, Alzate and Jahanbakhsh are uncertain and lynchpin Yves Bissouma is suspended.
