Great Britain - Exeter - 18th October 2016 @ 15:10
Our second and final tip for today comes in the 3.10 Handicap Chase at Exeter.
Last year's winner and 3 time course winner Caulfields Venture lines up in this and he's been well backed into 2nd favouritism overnight in the first time blinkers and off just a pound higher mark. It's easy to see the horse hitting the frame and he looked like an EW bet to nothing with 8 runners but with a N/R this morning that does change things.
With just the 7 runners in the field the EW value isn't there for me and we're siding with the Colin Tizzard trained Wizards Bridge who is also a C&D winner and has the services of Richard Johnson on board for the first time.
Our selection was travelling well last time out when the race was voided and he's now slipped to a dangerous looking mark of 120 which is 3 pounds lower than his last winning mark which came 11 months ago over C&D. The horse is a true stayer and may just prefer easier ground but the track suits well and he looks well handicapped on that C&D win if coming back to form after a summer break.
I advise a 2 point win on this selection.
